Ray Johnson is raising money for Kent Association for the Blind
Story
I am delighted I completed my 19th London Marathon in a row on Sunday at a time of 4:31:06.
Conditions this year were quite pleasant although a little cold at the beginning – much better than last year which was extremely hot so I beat my time by 40 minutes.
As always the crowds were incredible and most supportive, and it was great to see so many friends along the route who spurred me on, particularly from the Folkestone Running Club.
The atmosphere was fantastic, and I ran non-stop which is always my aim.
My best time was in 2002 at 3 hours, 23 minutes.
I am most grateful to all who have supported me with sponsorship for Kent Association for the Blind (KAB) in particular those listed on my Just Giving page. Last year I raised just over £4,000 and in total I was delighted as it has clipped over £80,000 over the last 19 years.
