Story
09/06/13 - recorded a personal best time of 1:48:20 (chip time 1:47:26) to finish 390th out of 1750 starters. Well two weeks rest then back to work for my next challange.....The Great North Run on 15th September.
06/06/13 - Thats it! Final session completed. legs and back massaged to get rid of the lactic acid. Roll on Sunday:-) 03/06/13 - light session tonight
01/06/13 swimming today 2.5 km in 1 hour.
30/05/13. Final training session completed. Now for beans lentils and tuna lol
28/05/13 penultimate run done. feeling good:-)
21/05/13 - another session completed. just a couple to go now. Very excited:-)
13/05/2013 - Another 10 miles under my belt tonight. Just a few more days training then its rest time and carbs. 07/05/2013 - Great run tonight. Training bang on course. 05/05/2013 - Swimming today 2.5km. Feeling Good:-)
29/04/13 - 10 mile run tonight. training stepped up now for the next 4 weeks. 26/04/13 - Swimathon tonight. Swam 2.5 km in just under 1 hour doing medium to fast breaststroke.
25/04/13 - 5 weeks today i will be completing my final training session before my Marathon.
23/04/13 - Great gym session tonight. Another 10 miles under my belt#feelinggood

16/04/2013 - Great workout tonight. Did a 12.5 k run followed by weights on the circuit. Training back on target now

16/04/2013 - My thoughts go out to all those affected by the Boston Marathon bombings. Just ordinary people like myself who want to raise money for good causes. We will not let these cowards who hide behind their evil beliefs.
14/04/13 - Swimming!
08/04/13 - Training back up to speed. Hopeful of a good injury free run now. 04/04/13 - After 10 days off, back in the gym. Good run tonight 7.5 miles.
25/03/13 - Light session in the gym. Carrying a little niggle at moment so not going full on for a few days
23/03/13- 2.5km swim today. vital part of my training regime
18/03/13 - Picked up a slight calf strain tonight. may need to rest up remainder of the week.
17/03/13 - Many thanks to Elaine Aimison for her donation yesterday:-) Decided to do a swim today 2.5km medium breastroke in 59 mins
14/03/13 - Another 8 mile run completed. Resting up now till monday.
13/03/13 - I have decided to take part in the forthcoming 'swimathon' at Jubilee 2 Newcastle between 26-28 April, as part of my training for my marathon. I plan to swim 2.5km.
11/03/13 -First 'distance' run tonight. Completed 8 miles in 64 minutes. Felt good. Nice Sauna and massage after. 07/03/13 -
