I am a keen cyclist and hope that, as Deputy Mayor, I can be a role model for a new generation of cycle enthusiasts and for cycle-shy older residents, inspiring them to get on their bikes.

As Deputy Mayor, I am getting on my bike to promote cycling and support the Mayor.  I will be donating 20p for every mile I cycle when undertaking Deputy Mayoral duties to support the Mayor's Charity.  I hope that this will inspire and encourage others to do likewise.
