Everyone has heard of the 24h Le Mans race.... but on skates?

Well, I succeeded in finishing the race as part of a team of 10 who skated from 4pm on 25th June 2011 until 4pm on 26th June 2011 on the Le Mans Bugatti circuit.

Thank you for your support and donations, they helped me to keep going for 15 laps, which is 62.7k, at an average speed of 26.15 k/h.

I did the "rolling" start (followed by two consecutive laps) and, over the 15 laps, my average lap time was 9'48. I even did my personal best in terms of lap time at 8'57!

I am raising money for 101 Playgroup. This is a playgroup in London which allows children from all walks of life to enjoy time to play and to learn until they are old enough to go to school. This playgroup has just had its funding withdrawn by the council and needs to call upon the kindness of those who can understand the importance of giving children a chance to learn (and to enjoy learning) as early on in life as possible.
