Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On 2nd February 2013, my friend Jennie found her baby daughter dead in her cot, on the day she had turned 9 months old. She had died of SIDS and though short, her little life has proved to serve an immense purpose. In her memory Jennie and David have organised walks, events, run marathons, skydives and fundraisers in her name.

I am not much of a runner, but I AM a professional violinist and it means more to me than I can say to be a part of Matilda Mae's legacy, raising money for The Lullaby Trust by doing what I know how to do... play music!

***On 2nd July 2014, I will be playing the violin for as MANY continuous hours as it is humanly possible to do! I will be allowed only very short loo and food breaks with short massages from my physio mum to stop me seizing up.... I will be operating an open house so you can come and listen with your feet up and a nice drink! and will also live stream it on the internet so you can check up on me that I am really playing. I am also hoping to make this a Guinness World Record attempt to raise as much awareness for the Lullaby Trust as possible. Please give generously!!***

Every penny raised goes towards researching the causes of SIDS, saving little lives and supporting bereaved families. Please donate whatever you can and help me make SIDS a thing of the past, in Tilda's name. Thank you. x

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. The Skydive you will see is named 'Team Matilda Mae Skydive 2014'

This is because my amazing friend Jennie tragically lost her daughter, Matilda Mae to SIDS last year.

You can read Matilda's story here

Jennie has shown such incredible strength through the most horrendous and what continue to be painful of months. She has also, very selflessly made a vow to make Matilda's life matter. To make a difference, so that no one else has to go through the pain that her Family have, in losing their precious baby, Matilda Mae.

So I am going to help Jennie do just that AGAIN in 2014!

Team Matilda Mae are back with new members and some veterans! We jumped last year and raised over £6000 and we'd love to add as much as we can to help Tilda's legacy grow.

We are a group of fellow Mummy bloggers/friends of Jennie and we're doing the skydive in order to raise much needed funds for 'The Lullaby Trust' (Formally FSID).

The Lullaby Trust provide specialist support for families bereaved through sudden infant death; support research and promote expert advice on safer baby sleep.

It is a Charity close to my heart. I simply cannot imagine what the Parents and Families bereaved through SIDS go through.

I hope that you can support me so we can raise as much as possible in order to help the Lullaby Trust half the amount of all Sudden Infant Deaths by 2015 through making further research and developing expert advice.

However much you can donate I will be so grateful.

    Here's some interesting figures for you;

  • £5 could pay for an information pack to raise awareness of our safe sleep messages among young parents.
  • £14 could provide one hour of bereavement support from our trained telephone advisors.
  • £110 could train A&E staff in how best to support families when a baby dies suddenly and unexpectedly
  • Thank you for reading and again for your sponsorship!

    Michelle xxxx
