Story
As many of you know we lost our beautiful daughter Daisy Flo to Meningitis after just 10 days of her being born. She was the most incredible little girl who made our lives complete.
Daisy fell ill on the 11/02/2021 and within hours was taken to Great Ormond Street to receive the most amazing care and compassion we could have ever asked for. Although Daisy fought for 24hrs she unfortunately didn’t get better and passed away on the 12/02/2021. In the short period of time she was at GOSH Daisy received the most phenomenal care and a genuine compassion and love that put us at ease during what will undoubtedly be the hardest moments of our lives. From start to finish the staff on the PICU Ward did all they could to rescue Daisy from this horrible illness and when we later found out Daisy wasn’t going to make it they became carers not only for Daisy but for us too and for that we will be forever grateful.
When the time came to say goodbye to our little miracle, who was too good for this world, GOSH held our hands through every step and ensured we got a final few special moments with Daisy which will last in our memory forever.
I wish I could tell you how much Daisy Flo meant to us but there aren’t words that do it justice. If we could bring her back we would do so in heartbeat but failing that we have both vowed to make her proud every single day.
We know that everyday she’ll be looking down on us with those big blue eyes, with a smile on her face and a heart full of love but also laughing at the trouble she later sent us with her devil little brother Finley!!
Thank you for taking the time to read this, it means more than you could ever know.
