Story
Last July, after a visit to Glentress, Reno decided to take up cycling again; partly for fun and also as a good way to keep fit.
Reno first heard of this event from his nephew Robert, who successfully completed it last year. The event is a 51 mile cycle from Glasgow to Edinburgh, a tough challenge for anyone, especially him at the tender age of 63. His youngest daughter Emma will also be taking up the challenge for some father-daughter moral support (and maybe even physical support if and when required).
As well as for personal satisfaction and maybe some competitive racing tactics during the race, both Reno and Emma thought it would be a good opportunity to raise money for charity. "We know some young people who live with Crohn's disease which causes them great pain and suffering and the charity Crohn's and Colitis UK (formerly NACC) raises much needed funds for essential support services and medical research."
Please give anything you can afford no matter how great or small, every little helps and thank you VERY much in advance.
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page, and remember to tick Gift Aid if you are a UK tax payer.
Wish us luck!
Reno and Emma :)
