Retford Specsavers will be hold a number of fundraising events between now and June 2010. There is a real sense of excitement running through the store as each little piece of the jigsaw falls into place.

On Friday 19th February, the team dressed up as characters starting with the letter "S"; this is the start of Sightsavers, and the next event will be themed around the letter "I" and so on.

Training begins on Sunday 28th February when the team will be walking around Clumber Park. A nice flat course to begin with allows us to hit 2 goals at once. First of all, we'll be able to assess our real levels of fitness instead of our perceived levels (this could be good or bad, of course). Secondly, it will serve as an introduction for those who are also doing a sponsored walk on May 3rd around Retford. This will coincide with Retford's Charter Day event and should help us all to do our "bit" to add to the fun and festivities.
