Story
As many of you will know, Danielle McAllister, my cousin, passed sadly away from Cystic Fibrosis at the start of the year, just after New Years.
For those who don't know; Cystic Fibrosis is a genetically inherited disease which causes a build up of mucous in the lungs and affects the digestive system and much more, and is incurable - most sufferers won't make it past 40.
The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is an incredible charity, which provides support to the sufferers and their families, funds vital research and campaigns for better care and treatment of sufferers.
My mum ran the Rock 'n' Roll Half Marathon in Liverpool to raise money for The Cystic Fibrosis Trust, which is a charity which helped support my cousin so much and which my cousin supported back so much.
So I decided - if my mum can run a half marathon, there's no reason that I can't, and then I thought I would challenge myself to run two half marathons!
As such, I will be running:
- The English Half Marathon (Warrington)
- The Cardiff Half Marathon
This is a massive challenge - considering when I signed up I had never ran more than 5km before, so any donations to this amazing cause, which me and my family hold very dearly, would be much appreciated!
