The Ribble Way Challenge · 22 September 2012
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
We are a group of friends who have decided to set ourselves a challenge to walk the whole of the Ribble way from the mouth to the source over the weekend of 22nd September. This covers 75 miles and 6500 feet climb from Longton to high above the Ribblehead.
We want to donate all the money raised from this to the Pendleside Hospice, a local cause that has been valuable to some of us.It provides much more than nursing care: giving social, emotional and spiritual support to patients and their families. And sadly, we will all probably know somebody needing this care.
It currently costs over £3.5million/year to run and 75% of this has to be raised locally.
All the donations pledged on this web site will go to the charity, no expenses of any kind will be taken out by ourselves so please give as generously as you can to this vital cause and spare a thought for our feet next week-end. We have been training hard over the last few months to get our old legs going, but we now need you to exercise your fingers and click on donate.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
