Cancer touches far too many lives. It has affected many people close to me and I also lost my dad to this awful illness.

On November 28th I'm fighting in a white collar boxing match to raise money for an amazing organisation and fulfil an ambition. Macmillan provides invaluable support to cancer sufferers and those around them.

I wanted to do something challenging and that people could enjoy watching or supporting me in. Boxing is an incredibly demanding sport and there are no hiding places in the ring. I have never boxed before and I am the oldest boxer appearing in this show. It also turns out I am not a 'natural'!  

But win or lose, I am delighted to be doing this to raise money for an excellent cause.
