Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The Long Distance Walkers Association are hosting their annual 100 mile challenge walk this year -  CamelTeign Ivor’s Dream 100. The event is named in honour of the death of Ivor Kingwell, the designer of the course and is a scenic Coast to Coast route across the counties of Cornwall and Devon. It takes in breath-taking scenery whilst traversing both Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor, a true 100 miler!

The event takes place between 25 and 26 May setting to the challenge to all competitors, including myself, to complete the 100 mile route within 48 hours. What makes this Challenge most worthwhile is the fact that I will be raising funds for my favourite charity WaterAid. They are an internationally recognised fund-raising organisation and continue to carry-out fresh water and sanitation projects across countries that are less fortunate in acquiring such infrastructure.

With your generous donation, funds can be used in at least one of the following ways:

Ø      £5 to make a rope well for 10 people

Ø      £15 to provide a water lift pump to serve 50 people

Ø      £15 to make a latrine to provide for a community

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
