On Saturday 24 June 2017 Cindy and were in Kenya, running (well actually jogging, stumbling and mostly walking) the 13 mile Safaricom 1/2 Marathon in the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy at 1700 metres altitude, under Mount Kenya. We were told that it would be like a 13 mile jaunt in Verbier. However rather than encountering squiffy apres-skiers the distractions were intense heat and dust as well as the odd lion, rhinos and random wildlife being kept off the track.

We don't do this stuff as a rule but check out www.tusk.org and you will see that this is a really important charity that truly needs your help - so we are counting on you to give generously! 

Your cash will go towards 60 TUSK projects that include education, sustainability, wildlife and healthcare. We visited a local school that Tusk are getting to grips with - look at the picture to see how much your support is needed and how much anything will be valued. Classrooms with mud floors, no electricity, no windows and no books. This is so wrong and it simply has to change.
