Thank you so much for visiting our justgiving page.  We have both been very involved with trying to help our wounded and their families at Selly Oak and Headley Court since Richard went out to Iraq in mid 06.  The Help For Heroes appeal to raise money for a much needed swimming pool and gym at Headley Court resulted from S-J meeting Bryn Parry last summer and the rest is history.  We have all been overwhelmed by the success of the appeal and we are now so close to achieving what we set out to do. 

The Big Battlefield Bike Ride starts in Portsmouth, crosses to Normandy, returns to London via Dover and will cover up to 120km a day for 6 days.  As most of you will know this is not S-J’s thing.  She leaves the sporty stuff to R!  Having broken her arm skiing in January she thought she had a let out, however she has just been given the green light by the consultant to start riding a bike and R is determined that she has (just!) got enough time left to train.  Training is now in full swing whenever we get the time but this is a particularly daunting challenge for her; whilst the challenge for R is to make the time in his busy schedule to train.

We very much hope you will be able to contribute.  The pool/gym complex will make such a difference to the rehabilitation of so many Servicemen and women and indeed to the fantastic dedicated staff at Headley Court.
