For almost 30 years, the South Cleveland Heart Fund has 100% voluntarily raised funds to purchase equipment and specialist staff training for the cardio unit at James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough, keeping it at the leading edge of care. Your support does make a difference.

Story

Sadly, on the 20th July 2011 our dad died suddenly after 9 years of suffering from Heart failure. This is a significant year as it is 10th game and after much deliberation it will also be the last annual game.

Unfortunately we had to cancel last year’s official game so we are delighted that the game can take place this year.

The game is to firstly remember him but at the same time to raise as much money as we can for heart related charities. The pandemic has created a lot of challenges for charities given the number of events that have had to be cancelled. Over the past 10 years we have raised over £30,000 in his memory for charity and we would like to try and get this total over £35k this year.

This year a Stockton select squad will once again play a Acklam select squad. It will be even significant this as due to the league restructure they are now in different leagues.

We will again be raising money for the South Cleveland Heart Fund. It is a fantastic regional charity and they continue to require funding to keep James Cook University Hospital, the Regional Cardiothoracic Centre at the leading edge of advances of care for heart patients.

As always there is no minimum donation as any contribution is kindly received.

The game will be held at Acklam this year, address as follows:

Talbot Park, Saltersgill Ave., Middlesbrough TS4 3PR and will kick off at 2.00pm.

Everyone is welcome so please come along to support the event if you can.

Thanks

 Dan & Steve
