I'm retiring on Friday 30 June after 43 years at Arcadia.

For my leaving do, will you join me to walk or run some laps of Harehills Park at lunchtime and I'll be buying a different sort of round to raise some money for my favourite charity.

I'm sponsoring everyone for £5 (a "double") the first lap, £2.50 for the second lap and £1.25 (a "half") for all laps thereafter.

In the afternoon there will be cakes which will have come from one of those upmarket cafes in Harrogate, Ilkley, Northallerton and York that have a similar name to "Bobbys".

A week at Lineham Farm makes the world of difference to a young child. Every year over 1,500 underprivileged children stay with us. Some have additional needs either physical, emotional or mental but all are treated with care and compassion. By taking part in our outdoor activities they regain confidence, self-esteem, physical and emotional wellbeing.
