MARATHON COMPLETE!!
On August 9th 2009 i successfully completed the Goodwood Roller Marathon, 26.6miles (11 laps). The race started at 12noon, and i completed the marathon in 2hrs 7mins, and my position was 86th!
A big thank you to everyone that sponsored me, and came to support us in the race! Well done to all the other skaters who took part that day! It was a brilliant event and was superbly organised by the Camberly Skaters! I enjoyed every minute!
Thanks Again,

Hello its Rob here, or Robbie G to most!
As you may know by now myself and some mates are doing the Goodwood Roller Marathon on Sunday 9th August. The distance is 26miles, wich works out as 11 laps of Goodwood Motor Racing Circuit!
Skating is a major passion of mine, and have been on wheels since 1996. I have spent many years playing competitive roller hockey, for the University of Portsmouth and Crowthorne Cougars.
I was suprised i have not come across The Goodwood Roller Marathon before, and after seeing it advertised i knew i had to give it a go! Altho my fitness is fairly good due to hockey, this is a different kind of skating. I have not attempted anything like this before, so its a real chance to push myself physicly, have a good time while doing it (i hope!) and raise some money for a very worthwhile cause.
I am raising money for The Berkshire Autistic Society, who as a family we have close ties with. They have really helped my brother in recent years, as well as other people that suffer from Autism and Aspergers Syndrome.
I really can't thank you enough for visiting my page, and if you can kindy donate some money to the cause then it would be greatly appreciated!
Many Thanks!
Robbie G x x x
ps.Shout out to all the other skaters doing the Marathon, to anyone coming to support and to Chrissy S, Face, Rizzle and anyone i missed! Much Love! G x
