Once again, I am raising money for the British Heart Foundation.

I have left my previous years' fundraising page open and it is ready and waiting for your donations...!

Next weekend, Sunday 29th May, at 06:30am, I will be plunging headlong into my next triathlon adventure when I take on the Outlaw Half Ironman.

The Outlaw Half is a Half Ironman distance Triathlon (swim, bike & run), which equates to:

• 1.2mile / 1.9km open water swim in the National Water Sports Centre Regatta Lake in Nottingham
• 56mile / 90km cycle around the countryside of Nottinghamshire
• 13.1mile / 21.1km (Half Marathon distance) run around the National Water Sports Centre and into the City Centre outskirts.
• 70.3miles / 113km total distance

My target is...

• To finish - training has not gone well this year with a few minor injuries that have hampered my training.
• To finish somewhere in the region of 6hrs to 6hrs 30mins.
• To enjoy it
• To continue to raise lots of cash for charity.

This is where you come in! - to make all the hours of training worthwhile - ie.  not just to see me in padded lycra cycling shorts and budgie smugglers - I am of course looking for sponsorship.  During the last 3 seasons, I have raised (through your kind donations) nearly £2.5K for the British Heart Foundation.

The British Heart Foundation fund pioneering research into heart disease; also offering advise and support to those suffering from heart disease, and additionally advise on how to prevent it.

Heart disease and the various different conditions has affected my family at various points in my life.  You perhaps know someone too?  A loved one? - A work colleague? A friend? or a family member? The British Heart Foundation is the most widely known heart charity in the UK and through your donation you will help fund pioneering research and development into defeating heart disease.
