Story
Roger was a dedicated and loving husband, a perfect role model to his two sons, and a fun grandad who was adored by his six grand children.
He fought against cancer in a typically strong and upbeat way, with an amazingly positive attitude throughout.
Roger was a hero to his family, as he was to many during his long career in the fire service. His 35 year career as a fire fighter saw him reach the ranks of Deputy Assistant Chief Officer in London and Assistant Chief Officer in Essex.
Upon 'retiring' 10 years ago he took up a role as a local magistrate and was also a volunteer driver for disabled and under privileged children.
In short - he dedicated his life to helping others.
Please help the fight against cancer by leaving a small donation in Roger's memory, so that he can continue to help others in the future.
