Fundraising for Alzheimer's Society
Three years ago I couldn't run for more than 4 minutes. I have since completed a 10K run in 2008, a 10 mile run in 2009 and now for 2010 I am going to attempt a half marathon; 13.1 miles. I don't like running which may seem odd given that I do a lot of it but I want to raise money for Alzheimer's Society. Alzheimer's is a very cruel disease but the Alzheimer's Society are doing great work to help and support suffers and their families as well as looking for a cure. I know that people are asked to give quite a lot but if you can spare any money I and the Alzheimer's Society will be very greatful. When I did the Great South Run last year at about 7 miles my calves felt like they were going to explode through my legs but knowing that people had sponsored me helped me to get round the last 3 miles.
