Story
On 25th May, Mission will be hitting the streets of London to collectively walk what we are calling a twin marathon - The Romathon to be precise. Two teams will split off to each walk a half marathon route around London to complete the twin marathon (26.2miles in total) meeting at the end.
The Romathon is inspired by Rom, twin sister of Mission's Josie Smith, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in November. Both Rom and Josie have greatly valued Future Dreams since her diagnosis and seen real life benefits from their support.
Future dreams offer a great source of practical and emotional advice alongside funding vital research and promoting breast awareness.Their non-medical environment helps people take on this disease from a place of solidarity and empowerment and their London hub offers a range of therapy and advice from counselling and exercise to support with hair loss and post-surgery bra fitting.
