Story

Dear friends and family,

I am so looking forward  to seeing you all at the Efteling  on August 16 to celebrate my 80th birthday.  I am sure  we will have a great day and evening.

Some of you have asked what I would wish as a present   The answer is really only your presence on the 16th!  I am fortunate enough to have everything that makes me happy in life.  However, as you may know, Willem and I do support a number of charities.  Should you wish to mark my birthday with some gift, i thought it would be nice if we all contributed something  to Breadline Africa, a charity which is very dear to us and which most of you know, have worked for or have raised funds for!

A short description of the charity follows below.

See you on the 16th!

With much love

Ronny

Description

Breadline Africa, one of the biggest suppliers of converted shipping containers for poverty relief in Southern Africa, has provided more than 280 containers to poverty stricken communities since its establishment in 1993. The non-profit organisation, which is based in Cape Town, South Africa, believes that every child has the capacity to do something amazing with his or her life. When a child’s imagination is unlocked, possibilities are opened up, allowing them to choose a path for their own future. Breadline Africa enables this journey by providing initiatives and infrastructure to support childhood development in Southern Africa. The renovated containers are used as early childhood development centres (nursery schools), primary school libraries, community kitchens and toilets.
