1 Mile Rope Climb · 7 August 2008

We‘re the world‘s leading cancer charity dedicated to saving and improving lives through research. We fund research into the prevention, detection and treatment of more than 200 types of cancer through the work of over 4,000 scientists, doctors and nurses.

Story

On Saturday 6th September 2008 i will attempt to prussik 1 mile to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

However, due to the lack of 1 mile long cave shafts in the world instead I will be climbing Titan 9 times, from the bottom to the surface each time.

This is equivalent to:

Ben Nevis (from sea level) - 1.2 times

El Capitain,Yosemite National Park - 1.8 times

The Petronas Towers, KL - 3.5 times

The Eiffel Tower, Fr - 5 times

Canary Wharf, London - 6.8 times

Humber Bridge tower - 10 times

London Eye - 12 times

Gaping Gill main hang- 16 times

Garlands Pot, Giants Hole - 229 times
