Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have chosen to do some fundraising after feeling so saddened and helpless by the Crisis in Syria. The British Red Cross is a charity that not only does a lot of work to help the vulnerable in need here in the UK, but also further afield in Syria, and the Europe Refugee Crisis. You'll have seen the media coverage showing desperate scenes of families who have lost loved ones and families on a terrifying journey in search of safety.
I recognise that we are so privileged to have all that we have got and thought this would be a perfect opportunity to do something positive.
I have hired the local village hall to have his birthday fundraising party. My plan to invite party goers to donate money to the British Red Cross, (instead of buying Rory a present) has been so well received by friends and family, that I now have many offers of help. The event seems to be growing by the day and we now have a cake stall, face painting, a raffle, hopefully a bouncy castle, and more! So hopefully it will be a big success, and we will raise lots of money!
This page has been set up for those who want to donate money who are unable to attend the party.
