Story
This year I decided I needed to try something new so sometime back in October, I decided that I'd run the Cambridge half marathon. As someone who had never run more than 10K this was reasonably brave. Then in November, I decided that this wasn't enough of a challenge so entered myself into the Hare and Hounds Boundary Run marathon. I soon discovered that a marathon is a very very long way... The marathon is on the 1st of March. The half marathon is on the 8th of March. My joints will die, knees are on the way out already. (I'm also a very slow runner so don't expect a Paula Radcliffe time)
I don't think I need to explain what a good charity cancer research is, we all know someone close to us who's been affected by this devastating disease and this money will go towards the search for a cure. It would be really great if you could donate whatever you can, no matter how small!
P.S. Remember I have very short legs. I have to take double the steps of a tall person so I'm essentially running 3 marathons when you think about it...
P.P.S. I'll send you a joke if you sponsor me.
