Hi Everyone!

I'm running the first Leeds Marathon on the 14th of May 2023 to raise money for SARSVL (Support After Rape and Sexual Violence Leeds), an essential charity, who:

- provide free, confidential support services to women and girls in Leeds who have been affected by sexual violent

- work to support the diversity of needs of those accessing their services

- contribute to the development of local sexual violence-related services in Leeds and the surrounding areas

- raise awareness and understanding of sexual violence

- challenge and change public attitudes about sexual violence against women and girls

This will be my first (and possibly last) marathon, which I will be running with my sister Beth and friend Ellie, and I appreciate any and all support towards this incredible cause.

£475 pays for eight face to face sessions of trauma informed therapy with a specialist qualified counsellor
£45 is the hourly rate of interpreter service for a survivor without English to access a specialist advocacy session
£15 covers childcare to enable a survivor to attend a face to face session
£4 pays for a helpline volunteer to support a survivor over one session via phone, email or SMS text message
