Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance is Scotland’s only charity-funded air ambulance service. We rely on public support to keep flying and responding to time-critical emergencies wherever they occur in Scotland. No one in Scotland should die because help can't get there in time.

Story

The plan is to run 6 races in 6 months during 2019 to raise money for SCAA. Hopefully, by including a variety of races, others will join the challenge and help fund this amazing, life saving charity.

As a paramedic at SCAA, I see first hand the benefit to the people of Scotland having a charity air ambulance brings. Able to reach 90% of Scotland's population in 25 minutes, ready to respond 365 days a year and entirely funded by donations - this is a charity that deserves great support.

The races I hope to take part in are:

May - Goatfell Hill Race (Arran), ✔️
May - Edinburgh Half Marathon, ✔️
June - Lairig Ghru Marathon (26 miles) , ✔️
Aug - Killin 10k, ✔️
Sep - Ben Nevis Race, ✔️
Nov - Auchterarder Half Marathon, ✔️

These may change slightly due to entries and work!

Something I'm really keen for is to have others join me on this challenge. It would be great to have people join me for one or more of these races - and all raise money for SCAA under the team name of Rotors Running. One of these races or something different, an experienced runner or a total novice, a speedy gonzales or a steady eddie - all are welcome.
