Atlantic Rowing Race · 10 November 2007

The RMBF was formed to relieve need, distress or hardship suffered by any person who is serving, has served or is a dependant of a Royal Marine, irrespective of rank. It also provides immediately on the death of either a serving RM or a reservist on duty a sum of money for the next of kin to help them cope with any pressing financial matters.

Story

Row Commando is the Royal Marines entry into this years Atlantic Rowing Race - a 3000 mile endurance race from the Canary Island of La Gomera to Antigua. This year there are 25 boats taking part in the race which starts on December 2nd and will finish 40 - 70 days later. (Yes we'll be away for Christmas too!)
As you may have guessed from our website, we're also going to 'Row Commando' or in the nud to put it another way - mainly to stop blisters and salt sores, but also for an added bit of viewer interest.
So dig deep in your pockets everyone, tell all your friends and spread the word! Let's use our pain, blisters, sores and hardship to raise as much money as we can for The Royal Marines Benevolent Fund
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: the Royal Marines Benevolent Fund will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Remember to sign up to receive our blog to your emal and keep checking back on our website www.rowcommando.com to see how we're getting on!

Many thanks for your support.
