International Medical Corps is working to relieve the suffering of those impacted by war, disaster and disease by delivering vital healthcare services that focus on training, helping devastated populations return to self-reliance.

Story

Dear All,

I will be running nearly 230km through the Sahara Desert, between the 29th Oct and 4th Nov, raising money for the IMC Lebanese Appeal. The money raised will go towards helping those who have had their lives destroyed by the recent violence.

I will be carrying all provisions other than my total water consumption on my back, and will be running through some truly incredible landscapes in the Western Desert of Egypt.

You can follow my progress along with that  of my fellow competitors at: http://www.racingtheplanet.com/sahararace/live/2006/

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: International Medical Corps (UK) will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.
