This year money raised from the Equality Walk will support Stonewall’s Education campaign to eradicate all forms of homophobic bullying in schools. Stonewall’s research has shown that two thirds of young lesbian, gay and bisexual pupils experience homophobia in schools. Specifically money raised will allow Stonewall to produce a DVD of the highly acclaimed production of FIT, a bold new play about attempting to fit in and trying to stand out, in a culture where everything from not liking sport to wearing the wrong trainers is ‘gay’.
