The 2.6 Challenge is a simple and fun way for everyone to do their bit to help save the UKs charities.

Story

On 26th April, Ruby and Ellison will complete a 2.6km run to raise money for the League Against Cruel Sports. They are doing this to help thousands of animals persecuted in the name of so called ‘sport’ across the UK.

During the COVID-19 outbreak, our wildlife is enjoying peace and tranquility. Hunters and shooters are unable to go out to get their thrills from killing harmless animals, but they will soon be back with vengeance when the lockdown restrictions are relaxed. The League must continue to be there to protect them when that happens.

Save the UK's CharitiesGeneral fundraising has been hit very hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. Thousands of fundraising events have been cancelled and many charities, particularly smaller ones, are struggling to maintain services because of this huge reduction in income. This impacts all sectors of society from children to the elderly as well as the vital work in areas such as palliative care, serious diseases, mental health, housing support, food supplies and countless others that charities support.

We stand on the side of animals and protect them from being harmed or killed in the name of ‘sport’. We manage sanctuaries to protect wildlife, carry out investigations to expose law-breaking and cruelty to animals, and campaign for stronger animal protection laws and penalties.
