Hey! We're Lewie and Jonny, amateur runners from Norwich and we love a challenge! So we've decided that in May 2019 we will run the West Highland Way in Scotland... Start to finish... 96 miles! And for this ambitious challenge, we're hoping to raise money for a great cause. That's where we need your help and generosity.

The Big C are a local cancer charity, working for patients in the Norfolk and Waveney area to receive the support and treatment they need. They have funded vital surgical and diagnostic equipment for Norfolk's hospitals to ensure more people receive treatment locally and with faster, less invasive treatments for a range of cancers. They fund research projects completed at the University of East Anglia, which has contributed to some incredible discoveries into cancer.

We're both currently practicing as physiotherapists at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital and have seen first hand the essential work that the Big C team do, helping thousands of people every year who are affected by cancer. We hope that our challenge will raise thousands of pounds for this amazing charity.

As with most jobs, there's only so much time we can take off work so we thought we'd run the West Highland Way in just three and a half days... Averaging over a marathon a day.
Jonny recently finished a 10k run, and Lewie ran 13 miles once, about 3 years ago, so things are looking good!? In truth, we have started trying to up our weekly mileage, squeezing in runs before and after our busy working days. We've started planning our journey too, and have already received support from some great sounding hostels along the Highland Way. We'll be carrying our supplies in rucksacks to avoid the need for baggage drop offs.
