Edinburgh Marathon Festival Half 2019 · 26 May 2019 ·

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

If you know me then you know that I love an excuse for a half marathon. Also, you know that I've been banging on at Ben to join me on one. Recently my Grandma, Polly, asked if we would run the Edinburgh Half 2019 for Parkinson's UK. Polly was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2012. For us this is the perfect reason to run.

So we've laced up our trainers and braved the Scottish spring and as yet our long runs consist of me chuntering at Ben whilst he pretends to listen and regrets saying yes.

Parkinson's is a progressive neurological condition. This means that it causes problems in the brain and gets worse over time. Parkinson's UK works towards a cure for the disease but, more importantly, the organisation provides information and support for a person (and their loved ones) dealing with Parkinson's.

It would mean a lot to us if you would donate to this cause. In the words of Tesco - "Every little helps".

Thanks everyone,

Tegan (& Ben)
