Official Edinburgh Marathon 2010 · 23 May 2010 ·

We work to end the exploitation of wild animals and create a future where people and wildlife live in harmony. Across the world, we protect, rescue and care for wild animals in need, while helping communities coexist peacefully with wildlife. Help us take action — and keep wildlife in the wild.

Story

Hi all,

After 6 half-marathons and a bit of procrastinating I'll be running my first marathon (26.2 miles!) on 23rd May 2010 in Edinburgh. I'm running in aid of a charity that I feel very passionate about, Born Free.

The Born Free Foundation is a dynamic international wildlife charity, devoted to compassionate conservation and animal welfare.  Born Free takes action worldwide to protect threatened species and stop individual animal suffering. Born Free protects many species in their natural habitat, working with local communities to help people and wildlife live together without conflict.

To see how I'm getting on with my training, check out my blog at:

Thanks so much for sponsoring me and donating to this worthy cause.

If anyone is in the vicinity of Edinburgh on the 23rd May feel free to come and support, cheer or heckle as I will need all the cheerleaders I can get.
