Warrington Animal Welfare is a rehoming & neutering charity which strives tirelessly to reduce the amount of abandoned or stray animals in Warrington and the surrounding areas. We promote responsible pet ownership, neutering and microchipping for pets, and by rehoming animals at our rescue centre.

Story

We're running the Blackburn 10km in November to raise money for Warrington Animal Welfare!

I volunteer at WAW on a Saturday morning and see the amazing work the rescue centre does to help unwanted/stray animals find their forever homes. The animals at WAW get a lot of love and attention from the staff and volunteers but giving them constant care comes at a cost.

All animals that leave WAW have been vaccinated and neutered/spayed something very important the charity shouts about - NEUTERING SAVES LIVES! This drastically reduces the risk of unwanted pets and strays and also any unnecessary stress on an animal becoming pregnant.

WAW is home to cats, dogs, guinea pigs and rabbits so if you’re thinking of adding a furry friend to your home PLEASE adopt don’t shop! The animals at the centre are all perfect, each with their own personality and all wanting a forever home to settle into.

The charity is an independent animal rescue and receives no Government funding so every penny counts and we’re so grateful for any sponsorship you’re able to give!

There is more information on the work that WAW does and if you’re considering adopting there are animals ready for rehoming featured on the website too http://www.warringtonanimalwelfare.org.uk/

Thank you and wish us luck!!
