Cystic Fibrosis is the most common life-threatening inherited disease in the UK affecting over 7,500 babies, children and young adults. CF causes the body to produce thick, sticky mucus that clogs the vital organs making it difficult to breathe and digest food. There is presently no cure for CF and 3 young lives are lost each week. The current life expectancy for a person with CF today is 31.
Our daughter Zara (Missy Moo) has CF, she is lucky to have been born in this age as not so long ago she wouldn't have seen the end of Primary School. This increase in the life expectancy of people with CF is all down to the tireless work carried out by the CF Trust and its fundraisers.
In November 2007 we are running the NYC Marathon with team CF to raise much needed funds for the Trust to help them find a cure
Please dig deep to sponsor us and we will do all the hard work!
