Midlands Air Ambulance Charity operates and funds three air ambulances and a fleet of critical care cars covering Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Worcestershire and the West Midlands. This lifesaving service costs £13-14 million each year and is funded by donations only.

Story

As many will know, our friend Aaron was recently injured in a serious motorbike accident. The Air Ambulance played a huge part in saving his life and deserves our collective recognition and spare money. As this service relies heavily on donations, we have decided (or have been forced...depending on who you ask) to run/wobble around the Birmingham half marathon for this cause.

SAVE THE DATE! On the 22nd September, we will also be hosting a fundraising party at the Studley Road Social Club. There will be live music and a chance to get up close and personal with our lycra clad-athletes. We will spam everybody accordingly with more information.

MEET THE ATHLETES

James Fitton: forced to run in this event. His furthest run to date is 3km.

Jack Gaylor: taking part after having been promised women in lycra.

Tom Jennings: a seasoned professional who is currently claiming the arrival of a baby is stunting his preparation.

John Noakes:  has miraculously managed to register on time despite his previous track record.

Andy Whittles: furthest run to date 0.5km (almost) and is hoping sufficient strapping will prevent his ankles from bruising...

Alex Woods: claims to be an expert and that he will complete the race in less than 40mins.

Any donations will be hugely welcome! Lets help keep this wonderful organisation operational.
