I'm running the 'Run Hackney' half marathon. That's 21km (or 13.1 miles for you old folk). My standard distance has always been 10km, and I've done maybe three 20km runs in the past, so this is definitely out of my comfort zone!

Cancer has affected my family and friends on far too many occasions. My Great Uncle Ron, Uncle Dennis and adopted Nan, Gwen, all battled the disease. 

Family friends too have battled it, some have won, some haven't.

The scary thing with Cancer, is you don't see it coming, and it can strike anyone. And I hate that Cancer has the upper hand. We need the ball back in our court.
