Bowel Cancer is the third most common type of cancer and affects 37,500 people per year in the UK. Like all cancers, if caught early it can often be successfully treated through a combination of surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Bowel & Cancer Research has a vision that no-one should die of bowel cancer or be compelled to live with a stoma (colostomy or ileostomy). It carries out research into what causes bowel cancer to spread (metastasise) in individuals with the aim of improving diagnosis and treatment under its Saving Lives programme and research into other bowel conditions together with pioneering surgical interventions under its Changing Lives programme. Any support you are able to give will be greatly appreciated and will go towards a very worthy cause.
