Story
Leicester Comedy Festival 2010 – The Running Joke
Kate Owen is one of Leicester's slowest and fattest distance runners. She has, despite an indulgent lifestyle that would put legendary bon viveurs to shame, managed to complete any number of races, including half-marathons, consistently finishing at the back and having gone a funny colour. She even did a triathlon once, but the less said about that the better.
Her aim, as the LCF's '10 Running Joke (do you see what we did there?), is to cover a double marathon distance (52.4 miles) over the course of the festival, visiting every venue during a show. Sponsorship money will go to the Festival's chosen causes, Amnesty and Prostaid (this is the Amnesty page, to give to Prostaid please go to www.justgiving.com/runningjokeprostaid )
If you see Kate (and we intend to put her in a fluorescent vest so she'll be visible from space) please encourage her along, or better still, make a contribution.
