Story
Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.
Me and my friend Gina have got to carry our owners, Elizabeth and Sandra, around a 38 mile ride in North Yorkshire on a weekend in September. We've been trying to get them fit and get them to loose some weight so we don't have to carry so much, but it isn't working!! So please sponsor us poor horses to do this ride - we need your help - not them!
We have to contend with scary steam engines as well (as the ride goes up through Heartbeat country) - not sure how Gina is going to cope with this as she doesn't like simple things like tractors!!! We might be finishing the ride a bit faster than we expected if she goes galloping off!
Anyway, I'm sure we'll have fun and it is all for a very good cause - our good friend Pam died from liver cancer after a very short but very painful illness and attended Treetops Hospice - and said they were fantastic. But they really, really need to get more room so that they can help even more people - not just people with cancer, but people with things like MS, and heart attacks.
So, as we think all humans are worth looking after, we're prepared to get sore feet and backs carrying our humans round this ride. I really hope you are able to show your support.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Treetops Hospice Trust gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor us now!
Lots of love - Rusty (the mad chestnut gelding who thinks he's a stallion)
and Gina (the totally loopy black mare who thinks she's a race horse)
