Story
I've decided to take on the challenge that is the LONDON MARATHON 2014 - it's a big deal for me and therefore caps is neccesary!
I'm running it for Pancreatic Cancer UK - a charity that needs funding to improve survival rates and raise awareness of this silent killer. My father Richard died from pancreatic cancer in 2011; he was a healthy 57 year old man and from the time of being diagnosed with it, he died just 3 weeks later - a terrible shock and loss for everyone that knew him.
I completed the Windsor Half Marathon for Pancreatic Cancer UK last November and realised that your support is not just a donation; it massively helps mentally when running those long miles; 26.2m is double what I did...something I don't really want to dwell on too much!
I'll be updating a running blog weekly of my training highs and lows at ruthpepler.co.uk (it might be a little random depending on how long a run I've had to do!).
Thank you & please feel free to join me on 13th April 2014!
Ruth x
