Story
Hello everyone. My name is Ruth Bradley-Holt. I am the Neighbourhood Police Inspector for Beswick and Openshaw (NPT6) and also Ancoats, Clayton, Miles Platting and Newton Heath (NPT5).
At 11.00am on Sunday 14th March 2010 (Mother's Day!) I will be participating in a charity abseil at The Velodrome, The National Cycling Centre, Clayton, North Manchester (on my NPT5 area). I will be raising money for The Stroke Association and I would very much appreciate your support.
Last year a work colleague from my team on NPT6 - PC Asif Hussain - lost his wife to a stroke, despite being in her early 40's. Sadly, she left two young children behind. Unfortunately, Asif had to then depart from "Team NPT6" for childcare reasons. Asif is so well known within the Beswick and Openshaw community.
Asif is fully aware, and supportive, of my imminent abseil activity.
When the opportunity came up for me to raise money for The Stroke Association, and help others, I jumped at the chance. I have never done anything like this before, but I am looking forward to the challenge.
Asif and I would appreciate your donation, no matter how small that may be.
My target is just £75.00p - BUT - I would love to raise alot more for this worthy cause.
By all means, please feel free to come and watch!
