Story

UPDATE: Original target was 4 Water Pumps for £1000. Alhamdulillah, we have exceeded this target therefore we will use the rest of the money for a mix of Water Wells (which last longer than the pumps and cost around £800) and Water Pumps.

The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said, “When a person dies, his deeds come to an end, except for three: ongoing charity (Sadaqah Jariyah), knowledge that is benefited from, and a righteous child who prays for him.” (Sahih Muslim)

The Messenger (ﷺ) was asked, “Which charity is best?” He replied, Providing water.“ (Abu Dawud)

21 year old Shamima Akhtar from Bradford sadly lost her life on Friday 5th June after being operated on due to TB/Meningitis (according to the hospital she was admitted at). Shamima left behind two beautiful young babies (a boy and a girl) under the age of 3 and in her memory we want to raise funds for Water Wells and Pumps in Shamima’s name which will be Sadaqah Jariyah for her and the one who donates. Each Water Pump costs £250 and each Water Well costs £800 which is deeper and lasts longer. We will Mix and Match but we will definitely have atleast 4 Water Pumps as this was our original target.

Shamima was such a gentle and kind soul and brought a smile onto everyone’s face. Everyone who knew her can vouch for her good character and her sudden death really has shocked and hit those who knew her. Shamima was a daughter, sister, wife and mother and we want to make sure as much rewards in the form of charity will reach her InShaaAllah.

Anything you can donate we will be grateful for and may Allah reward you immensely for your donations.

Your Sadaqah Jariyah could help many deserving people change their lives for good. In return you continue getting the rewards even after death, as long as the people continue to benefit from your donation.
