Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Capital One We’re on the lookout for 40 associates that have the grit, stamina and determination to take on the iconic National Three Peaks challenge. Not only that, but do it in 24 hours and collectively raise £20,000 for Rethink Mental Illness in doing so.
I was lucky enough (some may disagree 😉) to bag a place and so along with 40 of my Capital One colleagues, I am looking to take on the challenge of summiting the three highest peaks in England, Scotland and Wales.
Ben Nevis (1344m), Scafell Pike (978m) and Snowdon (1085m) all within 24 hours!!
Rethink Mental Illness is a fantastic charity that has a goal of a better life for everyone affected by mental illness.
The charity is extremely close to my heart, having lost My beloved Hooch recently who was my world and not having had been in the best of places myself mentally. I will continue on to do this as well In memory of him and to push myself mentally and physically for a fantastic cause, did I forget to mention I’m slightly scared of heights so I am conquering a big fear there too, as well as taking on this challenge the day after I come back off my hen do – so all is a massive challenge for me!.
The National 3 Peaks challenge is graded as tough taking on an iconic challenge that
will test you both physically and mentally over an extended period of time.
As part of the challenge I will be:
- - Summiting the 3 highest peaks in the UK - Ben Nevis (1344m), Scafell Pike (977m) and Snowdon (1085m)Trekking for around 18 hours throughout the challenge
- - Covering over 28 miles of undulating terrain - over a full marathon distance but with 3 hills
- - Ascending a total of 3000m in just 24 hours - almost the same amount of ascent as summiting Kilimanjaro
- - Descending Mount Snowdon in the dark
***We have set ourselves a huge target to raise £20,000 so all donations will be
very much appreciated!!
