We‘re the world‘s leading cancer charity dedicated to saving and improving lives through research. We fund research into the prevention, detection and treatment of more than 200 types of cancer through the work of over 4,000 scientists, doctors and nurses.

Story

In memory of Sam - who died aged 22 on May 1st 2006 - Mike, Tim and I are going to tackle 46km of the Lake District's bridleways, taking in 1400m of ascent along the way.

Sam loved biking in the hills around his home, and would love the idea that hundreds of us were getting together to enjoy Kentmere's rocks and bogs in his memory, while raising money for such a good cause.

See http://www.wheelbase.co.uk/news.shtml for further details of the ride.
