Story

Hello lovely people,

During these testing and troubling times I think it's more important than ever to look for the positives and what we can do to make a difference. After much deliberation (I have lovely hair!) I have decided to shave my head on 30/3/2020 for charity.

Having spoken to my local food bank they have informed me that donations of essential items are decreasing already, and only expect this to get worse as the pandemic continues and/if more measures are put in place. Over 500 people a month use this service already, with this only likely to increase due to the economic hardships COVID-19 is likely to bring.

With the supermarkets already practically empty its not hard to imagine the devastating impact this could have.

Any money raised here will be going directly to Harlow Foodbank (Co-ordinated by the Michael Roberts Charitable Trust) to help with running costs, such as logistics and warehousing costs, as well as purchase of essential items (tinned foods, toiletries, fruit juice etc.) which are already at critically low levels.

With everything that is going on at the moment I understand how difficult it may be to donate. As a self-employed DJ, I myself have no work for the foreseeable future, however even a donation of £1 could make a difference.

Now more than ever its important to look out for people in need.

Thanks for taking the time to read this.
