At Plantlife, our aim is to make lasting positive change for wildflowers, plants and fungi. Our goal is to help mitigate the impact of climate change while rebuilding biodiversity within our ecosystems. We regularly join forces with others to ensure our money, influence and impact can go further.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.

I am running for Plantlife because it campaigns to protect wild plants. We need our wild plants - they play a critical role in the global eco-system.

All our food and much of our medicine comes first from plants. In defiance of responsible aims and aesthetic pleasure we destroy meadows, wetlands, heaths, grassland, bogs and hedgerows, and the wild plants which they contain.

When those plants go, the genes holding the diversity of life are lost, the birds, animals and insects cease to survive, and humankind's own future is endangered. Yet, at present the devastation continues.

For more information, go to www.plantlife.org.uk.

I am also running in memory of my brother-in-law  Richard Sandbrook who worked for Plantlife.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Plantlife - The Wild-Plant Conservation Charity will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.
