Aspire Channel Swim 2022 · 5 December 2022 to 31 March 2023 ·

Every two hours someone in the UK is paralysed by a spinal cord injury. It can happen to anyone at any time and no one is prepared for how it will change their life. Aspire is a national charity that provides practical help, supporting spinal cord injured people from injury to independence.

Story

I'm taking on the Aspire Channel Swim 2022, swimming the distance of the English Channel over 16 weeks to raise money for Aspire.

Every four hours someone is paralysed by Spinal Cord Injury and Aspire provides the essential equipment, advice and housing that spinal cord injured people need to live their lives independently. I am very thankful to have my independence and full use of my body therefore I am taking part to help others regain their independence.

This is a big challenge for me as I usually only swim about 28 lengths a week. To complete 22 miles in 16 weeks I have to swim a total of 1416 lengths. This is roughly 88 lengths a week so I've a lot of hard work ahead!

The more I raise, the more of a difference I'll make, however any donation will be much appreciated. Thank you.
