We are incredibly privileged to running the Virgin London Marathon 2016 on behalf of an incredible children's charity called CHILDREN WITH CANCER UK! We are looking to raise awareness for childhood cancer, and WE would LOVE for you to be apart of this incredible journey...

It's that time of year again when you see an insane amount of Facebook updates, Whatsapp' messages, emails, texts and calls from both of us soliciting YOUR HELP in supporting an AMAZING charity, and furthering the work they do in having a life changing IMPACT on children who have been, or still are suffering from childhood cancer….This year, in April, we are running two marathons in 2 weeks and we would love your support in making the biggest impact possible through raising money and awareness for Children with Cancer UK.

About us…

Anand - I have been running for 5 years now, clocking in 12 marathons and an Ultra Marathon...This is my 5th London Marathon and I am incredibly proud to have fundraised for Breast Cancer UK, Breast Cancer Care, MS-UK, and Children With Cancer UK, through the fantastic support from all of you, we have been successful in raising over £12,500 for these incredible causes! It’s such a beautiful feeling and knowing that the money we have raised has had such a positive impact on the lives of so many people! I am thrilled to be running this with Sarah and I know that together, with your support we can smash this target…

Sarah -  I love a challenge and 2 marathons in two weeks will certainly do the trick! I have never run a marathon before and so thought it would be an hilarious idea for my nearest and dearest watching me struggle through 2! I am so honoured to be running for this incredible charity and so so excited to be running with Anand! Our excitement for the challenge and the charity, together with your support can help us raise as much money as possible!!!

                          ABOUT CHILDREN WITH CANCER UK

Children with Cancer UK is the leading national children's charity dedicated to the fight against all childhood cancers.  Around 3,600 children and young people are diagnosed with cancer every year in the UK. Their aims are to determine the causes, find cures and provide care for children with cancer. Around 2400 children and teenagers are diagnosed with Cancer every year. This is a decreasing figure, and through the work that Children with Cancer UK output, through their various channels, be it on the ground with care units, through funding pioneering research in medical research, through opening hospices to raising the profile and awareness of childhood cancer, they can strive to lower this figure and support children who are going through or have gone through cancer.

                                    WHERE THE MONEY GOES…

FAMILY SUPPORT...When a child is diagnosed with cancer, their treatment normally starts immediately, is often given far from home and can last for years. The donations Children with Cancer UK receive help to fund welfare projects across the UK to provide better care and practical support for young cancer patients and their families.

A Day at the Circus!! This is AMAZING...Children with Cancer UK every year hold a huge event with their pals at Zippos Circus, giving children with cancer and their families a wonderful day out. What's more, because everything needed for this amazing day out was donated, through fundraising and contributions immediately went towards helping children with cancer...http://www.childrenwithcancer.org.uk/News/zippos

CHILDREN’S HOSPICES...Children with Cancer UK work with a number of children's hospices to help families facing the loss of a child. Tremendous progress has been made in the treatment of childhood cancer in recent years - around three quarters of children diagnosed with cancer now survive.  For around 200 children a year in the UK, however, treatment is not successful. Children with Cancer UK do what they can to help families facing the loss of a child.Hospice services include short breaks and daytime activities enabling families to have a break, help with symptom control and pain relief, and support for family members, including siblings.  When the time comes for the child to die, the children’s hospice services are there to provide end of life care and bereavement support for as long as it’s needed, helping families to approach death with dignity and peace. http://www.childrenwithcancer.org.uk/care
